Care Data Exchange^® Configuration
Whether deployed in a community or enterprise configuration, the Care Data Exchange is offered through an Application Services Provider (ASP) model, consisting of four primary components:

			Identity Correlation Service - correlates multiple patient identities across disparate systems or entities.
			Information Locator Service - identifies where clinical data resides for a correlated patient, whether within or beyond the enterprise, and accesses requested records for an authorized user.
			Access Control Service - supports HIPPA compliance by enabling user-defined security rules, including role-based access and logging of all data access events.
			Clinician Portal - gives clinician end-users the ability to define customized patient lists, perform patient searches and locate clinical results (both push and pull) through a browser-based interface.

The underlying technology for the Care Data Exchange is built upon the latest secure, healthcare tested Web technology.
