Continuing Education Units (CEU)

Continuing education units for sessions at the 2002 National Conference will be awarded from the following organizations:

  • AHIMA - American Health Information Management Association

    AHIMA is the professional organization for medical records personal. Continuing education credits are used to maintain professional certification. The CareScience National Conference was approved for 10.8 credit hours for use in fulfilling the continuing education requirements for AHIMA.

  • HCQB - Healthcare Quality Certification Board

    HCQB provides certification for Quality personal (CPHQ). In order to maintain current CPHQ status, Quality personal must meet certain continuing education requirements annually. The CareScience National Conference was approved for 11 credit hours for CPHQ re-certification by HCQB.

  • Penn State Nurses Association through the American Nurses Credentialing Center

    The CareScience National Conference was approved for 13 contact hours by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
